Sustainable Product

The versatile whole-house solution

Isover glass mineral wool (rolls) is recommended for insulating complex spaces:

Habitable attics: Insulation between and under the rafters for maximum thermal comfort.

Partition walls: plasterboard wall infill for quiet between rooms.

Ceilings and ceilings: Insulation of wooden floors (bridges) or suspended ceilings.

Exterior walls (Inside): Thermal insulation of masonry walls on wood/metal structure.

How to choose: Super Profi vs. Forte

Although both products are premium, the difference is in the Lambda insulation:

Isover Super Profi (λ=0.032 W/mK)

Top range. Offers the best thermal insulation for the same thickness. Recommended for passive houses or where insulation space is limited (rafters).

Isover Strong (λ=0.034 W/mK)

Standard-superior range. Ideal balance between price and performance. Excellent for most residential applications.

Frequently Asked Questions

Lambda (λ) is the thermal conductivity. The lower the value (e.g. 0.032 compared to 0.040), the better the insulation. Isover Super Profi (λ 0.032) is about 20% more efficient than a standard wool.

No. Isover Super Profi and Forte products are Euroclass A1, which means they are non-combustible. They do not contribute to the spread of fire in the event of a fire.

Yes. When insulating attics and exterior (interior) walls, it is mandatory to install a vapor barrier membrane (e.g. Isover Vario) on the warm side of the insulation to prevent condensation inside the vat.

For optimal comfort and compliance with nZEB standards, a total insulation thickness of at least 25-30 cm is recommended. This is usually achieved by two layers: one between the rafters and one under the rafters.

No. Isover products are made to be resilient and dimensionally stable. If fitted correctly, filling the space perfectly, they will not shear or slip between rafters over the lifetime of the building.
