First stage - Design
Discuss and produce sketches / renderings - Design and authorization
It all starts with an open consultation: desired floor area, architectural style, number of rooms and budget. Based on this information, we develop realistic 3D sketches and renderings - so you can visualize the house before pouring the first pound of concrete.
Architectural and resistance plans are drawn up by accredited specialists, followed by building authorization - a step we completely manage for you.
Free initial consultation
Preliminary sketches and 3D renderings
Architectural plan and resistance plan
Technical memorandum and authorization documentation
Obtaining planning permission
Estimated duration: 4-8 weeks
Stage 2 - Infrastructure
Foundation execution
The foundation is the foundation on which the entire construction will be built. The works are executed according to the geotechnical study and the structural plan, using reinforced concrete dimensioned by the structural engineer.
We execute continuous (footing) or pile foundations, depending on the type of terrain, ensuring long-term stability and durability, including in areas with high seismic risk.
Geotechnical study of the site
Routing and digging
Foundation reinforcement and formwork
Concrete pouring according to structural design
Foundation waterproofing
Preparing the platform for structure
Stage 3 - Structure
Wooden structure
This is when the house takes shape. The load-bearing structure is erected with laminated timber beams and I-Joist beams manufactured in our own factory in Bacău, technically approved and treated against fire, humidity and insects.
Materials are pre-fabricated according to plan, and the supporting frame is assembled quickly and accurately - no improvisations on site.
Assembly of treated wood supporting frame
Lamellar and I-Joist beams with technical approval
Execution of roof planks and roof structure
Roofing installation (Tile / green roof)
Vapor and condensation barrier film
Exterior joinery (ADF windows, doors)
Final stage - Finishing
Finishing
The final stage transforms the skeleton of the house into a home ready to live in. From thermal insulation and plumbing, to flooring, paneling and exterior design - all done by our own team, with no subcontracting.
We use materials from the EcoCasa portfolio: heat-treated wainscoting, solid wood floorboards, energy-efficient ADF windows and certified façade systems.
Thermal and sound insulation (URSA, Fibrostir)
Electrical, plumbing and heating installations
Interior finishing: paneling, plastering, painting
Flooring: floorboards, parquet, epoxy
Exterior facade, terrace, gabions
Final reception and key handover

We answer the essential questions to help you make the right decision. If you have further questions, we're just a phone call away.
How long does it take to build a wooden house?
The average wooden house takes about 4-6 months from the foundation to the keys, compared to 12-18 months for a classic brick house.
The duration depends on the complexity of the project, the floor area and the type of finishes chosen. The major advantage is that the main wooden structure is quickly assembled - the supporting frame can be erected in a matter of weeks. The materials are precisely pre-debugged in our factory in Bacău, so only the assembly is done on site, without time wasted on measurements and improvised cutting.
In which areas do you build wooden houses?
EcoProfesional carries out projects in all of Europe.
The I-Joist and lamellar beams are manufactured in Bacău, but our erection teams travel anywhere. We have completed projects in Moldova (Iași, Suceava, Bacău, Vaslui), Transylvania (Cluj, Brasov, Sibiu), Muntenia (Bucharest, Prahova, Buzău) and in other regions of the country.
For remote projects, the materials are pre-debugged in our factory and transported to the construction site, where the team erects the structure according to plan. Technical supervision and quality control are the same regardless of location.
What is Technical Accreditation and why is it compulsory?
The Technical Approval is an official document issued by authorized bodies (such as URBAN-INCERC) which certifies that a material or construction system complies with the Romanian building standards.
For structural timber beams, the technical approval confirms:
- Resistance to loads (weight, snow, wind)
- Fire behavior
- Durability over time
- Compliance with NE 012/1-2010 (standard for wooden structures)
What is the difference between I-Joist beams and lamellar beams?
Both types are structural materials for wooden houses, but have different uses:
I-Joist beams have an "I" shaped profile (two solid wood + OSB core):
- Used for floors (ceilings between floors) and roofs
- Average openings: 3-8 meters
- Allows installations to pass through the thickness of the beam
- Lighter, quick to fit
Lamellar beams are made of layers of wood glued together under pressure:
- Used for structures with large spans (6-12 meters)
- Decorative exposed beams (remain visible inside)
- Supporting columns for multi-storey houses
- Very strong, can support heavy loads
EcoCasa manufactures both types in Bacău, all with technical approval. The architect and structural engineer recommend the right type depending on your project.
Do I get warranty and technical documents?
Absolutely. All our beams come with Invoice, Declaration of Performance and Technical Approval. You are guaranteed a certified product, accepted by any site manager.
