How long does it take to build a wooden house?
The average wooden house takes about 4-6 months from the foundation to the keys, compared to 12-18 months for a classic brick house.
The duration depends on the complexity of the project, the floor area and the type of finishes chosen. The major advantage is that the main wooden structure is quickly assembled - the supporting frame can be erected in a matter of weeks. The materials are precisely pre-debugged in our factory in Bacău, so only the assembly is done on site, without time wasted on measurements and improvised cutting.
In which areas do you build wooden houses?
EcoProfesional carries out projects in all of Europe.
The I-Joist and lamellar beams are manufactured in Bacău, but our erection teams travel anywhere. We have completed projects in Moldova (Iași, Suceava, Bacău, Vaslui), Transylvania (Cluj, Brasov, Sibiu), Muntenia (Bucharest, Prahova, Buzău) and in other regions of the country.
For remote projects, the materials are pre-debugged in our factory and transported to the construction site, where the team erects the structure according to plan. Technical supervision and quality control are the same regardless of location.
What is Technical Accreditation and why is it compulsory?
The Technical Approval is an official document issued by authorized bodies (such as URBAN-INCERC) which certifies that a material or construction system complies with the Romanian building standards.
For structural timber beams, the technical approval confirms:
- Resistance to loads (weight, snow, wind)
- Fire behavior
- Durability over time
- Compliance with NE 012/1-2010 (standard for wooden structures)
What is the difference between I-Joist beams and lamellar beams?
Both types are structural materials for wooden houses, but have different uses:
I-Joist beams have an "I" shaped profile (two solid wood + OSB core):
- Used for floors (ceilings between floors) and roofs
- Average openings: 3-8 meters
- Allows installations to pass through the thickness of the beam
- Lighter, quick to fit
Lamellar beams are made of layers of wood glued together under pressure:
- Used for structures with large spans (6-12 meters)
- Decorative exposed beams (remain visible inside)
- Supporting columns for multi-storey houses
- Very strong, can support heavy loads
EcoCasa manufactures both types in Bacău, all with technical approval. The architect and structural engineer recommend the right type depending on your project.
Do I get warranty and technical documents?
Absolutely. All our beams come with Invoice, Declaration of Performance and Technical Approval. You are guaranteed a certified product, accepted by any site manager.
